One of the characteristics of successful individuals is leadership, which acts as a driving force guiding people's lives in unique directions. This results from the synergy between an individual's inner strength and the support from those around them, including followers or the environment, which helps enhance the energy for growing movements with expertise.
The UK LeaderTalk Exchange Program 2024 is a collaboration between International Kingdom (Thailand) and New College Group in the UK. It aims to develop the participants' potential to become highly capable leaders, experience the wider world, learn how to live abroad, understand different educational systems, develop their personalities, and awaken courage and challenges to self-discovery. Participants will experience life in Manchester, a city renowned as the birthplace of inventions such as the world's first computer and home to famous football clubs like Manchester United and Manchester City.
In addition to building relationships and forming bonds with participants from various fields, this program offers an opportunity to create an international network. Most importantly, it provides a broader perspective and visionary outlook through overseas experiences, leading to becoming a highly capable and successful leader in the future.

Things to Learn from Participating in the Program
1. Intensive leadership skills training from experienced instructors, both before departure and in the UK.
2. Learning about English culture and traditions by living with a host family.
3. Developing leadership skills through broadening worldviews, changing perspectives, attitudes, and beliefs about oneself and others intelligently.
4. Gaining opportunities to build a strong international network with participants from various professions and nationalities, and learning about diverse cultures to further knowledge for future careers.
Number of Participants
The program accepts a maximum of 20 participants. Those who are selected will receive an invitation letter for processing leave or requesting time off to join the program.
Program Duration
Selected participants must complete UK entry authorization application documents and participate in all activities across three phases:
Phase 1: August 2024
Prepare UK entry authorization application documents and travel arrangements (Malaysian is not requested). After confirming participation, selected candidates will receive the schedule for orientation and UK entry authorization application preparation.
Phase 2: September 7 – October 20, 2024
Attend a 28-hour leadership skills development course (online) via Google Meet every Saturday and Sunday from 20:30 PM to 22:30 PM (Malaysia time). Participants will receive a certificate upon course completion.
Participants will learn leadership and self-development skills from Dr. Alyas Hayeesa.
Educational Background: Law degree from Chulalongkorn University, Chevening Scholarship recipient at the University of Birmingham, and The University of Melbourne, Australia.
Work Experience: Expertise in American Studies with The Consortium in the USA, a council member of the Lawyers Council (Thailand), and has worked with UNDP and UNHCR.
Phase 3: November 3 – November 17, 2024
Participate in person in Leadership Course and Public Speaking and activities at New College Group in Manchester, England.
Phase 3 Details:
Main Class and Activities in Manchester, England
1. Morning Sessions (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM):
- Leadership skills and public speaking courses at New College Group.
2. Afternoon Activities (Monday to Friday, from 1:30 PM):
- Activities with Salford University.
- Activities with University Academy 92.
- Visit the 9/11 World Trade Center artifact at IWM North Museum.
- Visit Tigon at Manchester Museum.
- Visit the first computer at the Science and Industry Museum.
- Manchester city tour and more.
3. Christmas Celebrations: Experience the festive atmosphere and visit the Manchester Christmas Market, the largest Christmas market in the city.
4. Field Trip: Full day trip to York, a city known for its stunning Gothic architecture and structures dating back to Roman times, some over 900 years old.
5. Football Stadium Tour: Tour the Old Trafford Stadium, home of Manchester United.
6. Premier League Match: Opportunity to watch a world-class football match in the Premier League.

Accommodation During the Program
Participants will stay in homestay accommodations with carefully selected host families in safe neighborhoods. Each host family will accommodate 1-2 participants.
Note: Participants preferring hostel accommodation (additional cost) should inform the staff.
Program Costs
1. Confirmation fee: 980 USD.
2. Program fee (Pre-departure course and in the UK): 3,150 USD.
Note: Non-selected applicants wishing to join must pay 7,000 USD.
Included in the Program Costs (for selected participants):
1. Round-trip airfare from Kuala Lumpur to Manchester.
2. Orientation and pre-departure preparation.
3. Online leadership skills development course before departure.
4. Group leader from International Kingdom for the two weeks in the UK.
5. Leadership and public speaking course at NCG in England.
6. Accommodation with a host family.
7. Bus pass for travel between accommodation and school.
8. Airport transfers in Manchester.
9. Breakfast and dinner with the host family.
10. Student ID card from NCG.
11. Travel insurance.
12. Invitation letter from NCG for UK entry authorization application.

14. Full day trip excursion.

The fees mentioned above do not include the following:
1. Passport fee.
2. Personal expenses during the program.
3. Fast tract UK entry authorization (If required)
Applicant Qualifications
1. Age: 18-45 years old.
2. Malaysian nationality or residing in Malaysia.
3. Basic proficiency in English.
4. Good physical health.
5. Desire to develop leadership skills.
6. Positive attitude, willingness to improve oneself, and learn about diverse cultures.
7. Responsibility, flexibility, adaptability, and readiness to learn new things.
8. No criminal record.
Application Process and Announcement of Results
1. Complete the application form.
2. Attach a resume (CV) to the application form.
3. Write an essay on the given topic and attach it to the application form.

- Essay Guidelines:
• Write in English
• Use Microsoft Word
• Between 300-600 words
• Use Times New Roman, font size 14
• Save the document as a .pdf file and attach it to the application form.
