Japanese Cultural Exchange Program 1 (For International Participant)

A short-term exchange program focusing on learning traditional Japanese culture and developing leadership skills in the Japanese leadership style.

Program focuses on learning traditional Japanese culture, developing leadership skills in the style of Japanese leaders, and practicing basic Japanese language skills. It also offers   youth and interested individuals the opportunity to experience life in Osaka and Kyoto, explore new lifestyles abroad, and exchange perspectives with people from diverse regions around the world. Selected participants will receive special privileges, including participation in traditional Japanese activities, travel facilitation for the exchange program in Osaka, Japan, and the chance to explore new experiences and natural attractions.


What Participants Will Learn

1. Study basic Japanese language, fundamental Japanese etiquette, and immerse in traditional Japanese culture.

2. Broaden perspectives and develop critical thinking skills.

3. Promote self-potential development, adjust attitudes, thoughts, and beliefs about oneself and the world.

4. Gain learning experiences with renowned institutions in Japan.

5. Receive opportunities and build international networks while learning about diverse cultures to enhance future academic and career prospects.

6. After completing the program, selected participants will receive a certificate from International Kingdom, Human Academy (Japan) and a course participation certificate from Japanese language experts.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. Ages between 15-35 years old 

2. Malaysians /International students studying in Malaysia who seek to experience and immerse themselves in traditional Japanese culture.

3. Aspire to enhance leadership capabilities.

4. Good physical health with a positive attitude towards self-improvement and a willingness to learn

about diverse cultures.

5. Demonstrates responsibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.

6. No history of criminal offenses.

7. Individuals who have not previously received full scholarships from the Japan government.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

Only 20 individuals for the International Participant will be selected for the Japan Cultural Exchange Program. (Those selected will receive an invitation letter for leave or time off to participate in the program.)



PROGRAM DURATION

This program has a total duration of 2 Phase

· Phase 1: 8 March – 6 April 2025 Online Japanese language preparation before departure. 

· Phase 2: 20 April – 3 May 2025 Participate in activities at Human Academy, Explore and experience Osaka and Kyoto in Japan.

 

Phase – 1 Course Details

Selected participants will take a basic Japanese language course to prepare for their exchange experience. The classes will be conducted online via Google Meet every Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM (Malaysia time).


Phase 2 – MAIN ACTIVITIES DURING THE EXCHANGE IN THE JAPAN FOR SELECTED PARTICIPANTS:

1. Every morning, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM participants will join workshops on Engage in basic Japanese language workshops. Learn about Japanese etiquette and lifestyle. Gain insights into the leadership culture of Japan.

2. Experience traditional Japanese culture, including tea ceremonies, sushi-making, and wearing traditional attire. Explore Japanese martial arts and ninja training. Participate in hands-on experiences in anime and manga creation.

3. In the afternoon, starting at 1:00 PM, participants will engage in activities at various locations, including Visit various attractions in Osaka, such as the aquarium. Enjoy free time for personal exploration.

4. Join a classic boat cruise in Osaka.

5. Day Trip to Kyoto Discover the historical and cultural heritage of Japan in Kyoto.

6. Attend the graduation ceremony to receive certificates upon completing the program.

Selected participants will need to pay a total of only 2,400 USD.

Note: The project participation fee can be paid in installments.


THE ABOVE EXPENSES FOR SELECTED PARTICIPANTS COVER:

1.  Round-trip airfare from KL to Osaka (participants traveling from abroad can use a program-provided budget for self-booking their flights).

2.  Orientation fees

3.  Online Basic Japanese Course Fee

4.  Accommodation in Osaka, Japan

5.  Transportation fees for activities in Osaka and Kyoto

6.  Travel insurance.

7.  Cultural Exchange & Language Learning at Human Academy

8.  Cost of all trips and visits to places listed in the schedule, including entry fees and transport to attractions like aquariums, and other famous sites in Osaka.


THE ABOVE EXPENSES DO NOT COVER:

1.  Passport fees

2.  Meal expenses and Personal expenses during the program.


For Non-Selected Participants but Interested in Joining the Program

1.  Send an email to Support@internationalkingdomthailand.com with the subject line: “Apply to Join the Thai-Japan Cultural Exchange Program 2025 (Special Round)”. Full payment of 4,445 USD for the program.

2.  Only 5 participants will be accepted in this special quota,

APPLICATION PROCESS FOR PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIP

1. Complete the form and attach a comprehensive resume.

2. Write an essay titled “How Learning and Studying Japanese Culture Helps Us Grow

Essay Guidelines:

- Use Microsoft Word for writing.

- More than 300 words, not exceeding 600 words.

- Use Times New Roman font size 14.

- Submit the application, resume/CV, and the essay in PDF format.

Note:

- Uploaded documents must be in PDF format and named using the applicant's full name.

- The first 10 applicants will receive an immediate matching scholarship and will be considered for the program right away.

- Selected candidates will need to pay an additional 2,250 USD (2,400 USD minus the 150 USD deposit), and payment can be made in installments.

- Applicants who are not selected will receive a full refund of the deposit. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable for selected candidates under any circumstances.
